Key Takeaways:
The UPHF was born from the transformation of the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut Cambrésis. Created by decree in September 2019, the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF) is the very first “polytechnic” university in France. This new model of establishment structure is based on a reorganization around two poles: on one side, sciences and technologies, and on the other, the humanities. An innovative university, UPHF is a EUNICE partner, an alliance of seven European higher education establishments working to implement a new European university. The objective is to allow students to access original, flexible diploma training courses, which will give them the opportunity to distinguish themselves by entering the job market and to be ready for the world of tomorrow. The UPHF educational offering covers all levels of Bachelor, Master and Doctorate in numerous fields of study, while offering an innovative interdisciplinary approach to the curriculum. Research at UPHF is spread across 4 large laboratories including 2 CNRS UMRs. Its Research and Innovation strategy is defined by three strategic hubs addressing major societal challenges in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the Horizon Europe program and the regional Research and Innovation strategy for intelligent specialization: “Health and care of the future "; “City, Mobility and territory of the future”; “Industry of the future, eco-responsible materials and associated processes”.
